Selling to us

Photographs do most of the work

We can give a useful indication from photographs alone, provided they show the right things. Four shots tell us most of what we need:

1. The outside, from a corner

   One shot from a corner shows two sides and the roof line at once, and tells us the size and the general state.

2. The roof

   From a ladder or an upper window if you safely can. The roof is where the money is won or lost.

3. Inside

   Wide shot down the length. We are looking at the floor, the lining and the layout.

4. The corners and lifting points

   Close up. This tells us whether the unit can be lifted, which decides whether it can be moved at all.

Be straight with us about damage. It rarely stops us buying and it saves everyone a wasted trip. A unit described accurately and priced accordingly is a deal that completes; one described optimistically is a renegotiation on the day.
